Mile Hi-Larity is made up of people with a wide variety of personal and professional backgrounds. This diversity makes for interesting and ever-changing shows.
Our members include:
Steve Smith has held a variety of positions (including sitting, standing, and his favorite -- leaning) in management and sales with several large corporations.
He has been performing live music and comedy
(sometimes both, unintentionally!) for over seven years.
Nick Nguyen
has been involved with improvisational comedy and teaching team building since 1994.
A Haiku:
Liz Epstein is an attorney by day.
When not performing
live improvisational comedy or travelling the world, she can be
found playing tennis or golf or facilitating good relationships
between her cats.
Genise Brothers When not working with Mile Hi-Larity, Genise enjoys using her spare time to teach high school science in (insert current city here), because Genise is actually a gypsy and doesn't stay too long in any one particular area. Genise grew up in Southern Michigan, so she's more than qualified to talk about cows and corn and stuff. Genise likes candy. Genise is easily distracted by shiny things. And she lived happily ever after, the end.
Jeff Dallet, best known for his work on "Diagnosis Murder" with Dick Van Dyke, has come back to his roots -- live improv comedy in Colorado. And we couldn't be happier.
Andrea Vahl,
worked for a while in telecommunications but now spends her time entertaining her two-year-old son daily with her improv antics. Pray for his normal development.
Jason Harbaugh, grew up on the Nez Perce Indian Reservation in northern Idaho where he was chosen by the chief to go and be the Lewis without a Clark of the 20th century. "Go explore the East" he said. So he left and followed the old trail of the famed Lewis and Clark. Jason came to the edge of the front range and looked out at endless plains ahead of him. Jason said forget it and camped out in the outskirts of Denver. He can still be seen to this day, wandering around the streets and yelling indecipherable jibberish while miming famous historical figures.
Mark Risius owns a window cleaning business and is the event coordinator for Bands for Lands, an environmental non profit organization. He is also a poet, artist, and musician who has been blessed with multiple personalities and can be seen talking to his many selves on a regular basis. Rumor has it that he grew up in Kansas and was carried out to Colorado by a tornado and is still getting used to seeing the world in color. Mark likes to wear ruby slippers, and has a morbid fear of flying monkeys. He now lives in Boulder, need we say more?
